SMail for organisations
Email that proves who your staff are, with the controls an organisation needs and without anyone reading a member's mail alone.
Verified members
A member joins your organisation on SMail with an organisation badge: a credential your organisation issued through TrustChain. Their SMail profile then shows the badge, and a recipient knows the message came from a real member of your organisation. When the credential is revoked, the badge drops within the hour.
Officers, two at a time
Officers are members whose position is an officer role. Policy and escrow change only when two officers agree. The organisation's trust policy is a floor on each member's own, so no member can be reached by senders the organisation has excluded.
Shared mailboxes
A shared mailbox such as records@ or admissions@ delivers to several readers; every reader gets their own sealed copy. The organisation sees who the readers are, never the content.
Retention and legal holds
Set retention by role, and legal holds when you must keep mail. Held ciphertext stays even if a member leaves. Nothing is readable without escrow.
Escrow, in the open
Escrow is a key made on the proposing officer's device and split among the officers' devices: three of them, or both of two, unseal together. Members in scope are told on every message. Every unsealing records who asked, why, and who contributed, in a tamper-evident audit.
Billing
A monthly fee per organisation and usage beyond a free allowance, in Kenyan shillings. Statements hold counts and money only. People on SMail never pay.
Getting started
Your organisation needs to be accredited on TrustChain as an issuer, so it can issue membership credentials. Start at ssi-trustchain.com, or write to [email protected].
